Leadership at Moore Nanotechnology Systems listens and acts. During monthly CEO Roundtables, CEO Mark Boomgarden asks employees two questions: What do you like about working at Nanotech? If you were me, what would you do differently, and why? These roundtables quickly became so popular that Moore Nanotech added a second roundtable for the operations and engineering teams to meet with
their managers.

It’s the additional touches that make this company stand out. These include monthly chair massages, paid time off for your birthday, an annual holiday shutdown, and free fruit and snacks. Nanotech’s sabbatical program, which allows employees to take an extended leave of 30 days to six months, is another example of its forward-thinking policies. Whether for personal wellness or professional development, employees can take extended paid leave, returning to work refreshed and inspired.

“Our employees are the heart of everything we do,” says CEO Mark Boomgarden. “We invest in their success because when they thrive, so does our business.”

At Moore, events like the Employee Appreciation Picnic bring families into the fold, while themed treat days, cook-offs, and monthly raffles create good vibes throughout the year. For professional growth, the company offers Moore U, an internal university featuring lunch and learn sessions, financial wellness seminars, and hands-on training.

Employees are rewarded for their efforts through a profit sharing/bonus program. This provides employees the ability to earn up to two additional weeks of pay based on the company’s performance.

Benefits start strong, with $5,000 in annual tuition reimbursement, medical (the company covers 85% of premium costs), dental, and vision insurance (covered 100%), a health reimbursement account, flexible spending account, and even pet insurance.
