Firm founders Bob Bonfiglio and Brent Kiley want to build a firm that will last for generations and enrich the lives of all who contributed to growing and leading the firm. As such, they developed a clear path for how a team member could start with Rise as an intern and work their way up to partner.
It starts with leaders regularly asking team members, “What Do you Want for Yourself?” During these conversations, the leader learns the employee’s core values, what makes them excited to come to work each day, and discusses their goals for the quarter and for the next five to 10 years.
Rise Private Wealth Management offers several leadership development programs, including investing $50,000 to $100,000 in external individual coaching. Team members can also request to mentor with members of the executive leadership team for a year.
Rise hosts monthly leadership development sessions and CEO Brent Kiley hosts a monthly “CEO Feedback Lunch,” where employee provide candid feedback and ask questions.
This is a firm that makes sure team members feel appreciated, including a bonus program based on revenue and an employee referral bonuses of $500 to $1,000. The firm also uses an online recognition portal, Bonusly, where team members can give each other shout outs as well as points they can use toward a gift. In 2024, when the firm we blew its goals out of the water, it celebrated with a comedian, team gifts valued at $500, and lunch provided to all employees.
It hosts an annual multi-day offsite called Rise Rendezvous,” paying for hotel and travel for employees. It includes speakers and panels as well as team building activities, scavenger hunts, and karaoke.
