Eric Maxwell of Nashua is poised to become the new owner of and reopen Campo Enoteca in downtown Manchester. The previous Campo Enoteca owners, Ed Aloise and Claudia Rippee, who decided to retire at the end of 2022, have been working closely with Maxwell on the transition. With many former employees staying onboard, Maxwell expects to be fully reopened in mid-March. Maxwell plans to keep the menu the same, while also introducing some of his own family’s secret recipes.

Hannaford Supermarkets today announced $50,000 in donations to expand and enhance food pantries for students at community colleges in NH. The funding will enable the seven community colleges served by the Foundation for NH Community Colleges to expand and renovate campus food pantries with new refrigeration and freezer equipment, as well as with additional food storage space for stocking pantries with nutritious food. The donation is one component of Hannaford’s Fuel Kids at School initiative, a more than $1 million commitment to directly address food insecurity and improve access to fresh and healthy food through the establishment of food pantries for students in New England and New York.

Mascoma Bank and its community development lending group has provided $1,950,000 of permanent funding for the newly constructed Heater Landing Apartments (Heater Landing LP). Additional permanent funding was provided by Evernorth’s Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity fund, Housing New England Fund III. The Heater Landing Apartments consist of 44 units of perpetually affordable housing, located in Lebanon. Lebanon Housing Authority (LHA) is the developer and sponsor of the project. Construction financing was provided by NH Housing Finance Authority. LHA fully leased all 44 units within three months of its completion in September 2022.

In response to the rising demand for behavioral health professionals, Rivier University in Nashua has launched online master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and in School Counseling. Rivier has evolved these previously on-campus graduate programs to a more flexible, 100% online coursework, low-residency format.

Brady Sullivan Properties in Manchester, is providing $250,000 in support of significant renovations and an expansion of Elliot Hospital’s Emergency Department in Manchester. These renovations will be complete in Spring 2023.

The Bangor Savings Bank Foundation has partnered with Portsmouth-based Step Up Parents to advance its mission of helping kinship families in New Hampshire and now Southern Maine in 2023 with a $7,500 grant.

Prime Source Foods in Londonderry, an independently-owned food distributor in New England and upstate New York serving more than 3,000 customers, appointed Leigh Clark as director of sales. Clark previously worked for Ripple Foods and Bridor USA. Clark spent 27 years in food sales and operational management.

Benjamin (Ben) A. Pepper was promoted to VP, corporate reporting and systems at NH Mutual Bancorp (NHMB). He will be responsible for annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and financial reporting for NHMB and its affiliate organizations, MVSB (Meredith Village Savings Bank), Merrimack County Savings BankSavings Bank of Walpole, and NHTrust. He joined the organization in 2004 and has held several positions in finance throughout his career at NHMB.
