New employees are welcomed at Sanborn Head with plenty of company swag on their first day. All employees are treated to a branded jacket, shirt and bag purchased by the company. The CEO also personally meets with all new employees one-on-one to provide a cultural orientation.
Sanborn Head not only offers employees the opportunity to become company owners through an Employee Stock Ownership Program, but makes contributions into an ESOP account on behalf of employees so they don’t have to invest their own money.
Sanborn Head finds many ways to invest back into employees. It offers an employee referral bonus that ranges from $500 to $6,000 and pays a one-time $2,500 bonus to employees who receive their first professional license. The firm makes annual profit-sharing contributions to employees’ 401(k) plans that average at least 3% of base salary. And managers are empowered to give spot bonuses up to $2,000 for employees who go above and beyond.
The firm offers hybrid and fully remote options for employees as well as alternative work schedules. Employees working 20 hours or more per week receive a bi-weekly stipend of $40 to offset the costs of using personal vehicles and mobile devices for work or to assist with outfitting their home offices.
To assist in wellness efforts, Sanborn Head offers a meditation app for its employees, ergonomic furniture and accessories, fitness reimbursement and medical and psychological telehealth visits through its medical insurance provider. It also pays for long-term care insurance for its employees.
