Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, a Dartmouth Health member, acquired its first ever robotic surgical platform, the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical platform by Intuitive (pictured here). Cheshire surgeons operating the system will be using it to perform general, bariatric and gynecological procedures, including gallbladder removal, hysterectomy and sleeve gastrectomy.

SFC Engineering Partnership, an engineering consulting firm located in Windham, NH and Portland, Maine, appointed Jeffrey Murphy, PE as president of the company effective April 17.  He joined the firm in 2004 and served in corporate leadership roles since 2011.

He has over 15 years of experience in retail banking, bank operations, consumer and small business lending, and building business efficiencies through digital banking. He joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in early 2020 as assistant VP, branch relationship manager in Peterborough.

Sail Portsmouth, a nonprofit that holds events and educational programs promoting the maritime heritage and history of the Piscataqua River estuary, elected to its board of directors: Sara Cassinelli, owner of Cass & Company in Portsmouth; William (Bill) Mathers, founder and president of Pacific Sea Resources; and Geoff Youngclaus, the CPA-managing partner of Youngclaus and Company, PLLC in North Hampton. Phil von Hemert, board chair, stepped off the board after 10 years of service.

David Choate, executive VP and a principal of the NH office of Colliers in Portsmouth, a commercial real estate services firm, was inducted into the 2023 Everest Club. The Everest Club recognizes the top 10% of all Colliers professionals in brokerage, valuation, and corporate solutions in the U.S. based on revenue production.

Alisha Cahall, an attorney at Sheehan Phinney in Manchester, has been named to the Friends of Aine board of directors. Friends of Aine Center for Grieving Children and Families offers support for grieving children and families, educates our schools and our community about grief, and serves as an advocate to raise awareness of grief as a public and mental health issue.

Lorrie Piper was hired as VP of marketing and communications of the Granite YMCA in Manchester. She was previously division director for the NH Liquor Commission.
