Bill Bald, president of Melcher & Prescott Insurance in Laconia, has been named as a board member at United Benefit Advisors where he will serve as New England/UK/Ireland Region representative.

After several months of reviewing options and exploring possible sites for a new West Side Manchester community center, the Mark Stebbins Community Center (MSCC) and the Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority (MHRA) signed a 75-year lease to build and operate a new facility for local children and residents. MHRA owns the land and has fully agreed to the project. MHRA will lease the land to MSCC for a nominal amount, and MSCC will raise the funds and build a community center accessible to children and families throughout the West Side. Feasibility studies and project planning is now underway for the site.  A construction timeline is being developed now.MSCC will be raising funds from individual donors, local and national foundations, companies, and pursuing state and federal funding.

Rightworks, a Hudson-based cloud service provider delivering solutions purpose-built for accounting firms and professionals, appointed Monica Sullivan as chief marketing officer (CMO). Prior to joining Rightworks, Sullivan was CMO for Linnworks, an ecommerce inventory and order management software provider, where she built a global team of marketing professionals and recently refreshed the brand and unified product positioning. She previously served as CMO at DemandScience, an AI-powered B2B demand generation company.

Haverhill, Massachusetts based Pentucket Bank recently surpassed $1 billion in assets. This makes the mutual community bank one of the largest in Massachusetts and in NH by asset size. The Bank has six full-service community banking offices serving Massachusetts and NH.

Lauren Mersereau, CFP, joined Bar Harbor Wealth Management in Concord, a subsidiary of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, as VP, senior wealth manager. She has approximately 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry. She spent the first 15 years of her career at Enterprise Bank in their Wealth Management department. For the last five years, Lauren served as VP, senior wealth advisor at Salem Five Wealth Management.

American Recruiters, a national healthcare recruiting and executive staffing firm, opened a new franchise in Manchester. The new location will serve clients seeking accounting and finance professionals. It is led by Van Laventure, who started his career as an accountant in the banking and construction industries and transitioned to recruiting in 1999.

LaBelle Winery in Amherst won nine awards, including Best in Class, at the 2024 Boston Wine Competition.

 through two fundraiser sin October.

Family Mechanical, a heating, cooling, and electrical provider in Northwood, and its founder, Dave Bailey, has partnered with Rich Jordan and Sanford Temperature Control in Milford. Bailey has joined Sanford as a project manager.

The BJ Cirnigliaro Memorial Fund, which was created in 2021 by Absolute Title in Bedford, made donations of $25,000 to seven local organizations: the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Crispin’s House, Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, Families in Transition, NH Food Bank, Easterseals NH and the Salvation Army.

Courtney Tanner, Dartmouth Health’s senior director of government relations in Lebanon, has been selected as a member of the 2024 fellowship class of the Carol Emmott Foundation. The Carol Emmott Fellowship works to accelerate gender equity in healthcare leadership by providing women leaders a platform for national visibility as well as a continuously growing network of peers, mentors, and sponsors in the industry. Tanner has been with Dartmouth Health since 2018.
