Dartmouth Health CEO and president Joanne M. Conroy, MD, was named on Becker’s Hospital Review’s list of 60 health system CEO influencers for 2023. The honorees selected were identified as health system CEOs who are using their considerable influence to shape the future of healthcare.

Merrimack County Saving Bank (The Merrimack) in Concord promoted Brad Kulacz to senior VP, senior retail banking officer, succeeding Mary Lynne Rahlson in her retirement. He now leads retail banking across all of The Merrimack's eight locations.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced one NH health center—Lamprey Health Care in Newmarket—is part of the top 10% of health centers nationwide receiving a Gold Health Center Quality Leader badge for achievements in improving health outcomes and providing high-quality care for patients in rural and underserved communities.

Waypoint—a nonprofit agency based in Manchester providing an array of social services including parent education, services for children with developmental concerns or chronic health conditions, childcare, mental health counseling, foster care, and assistance for homeless youth—elected two new members to its board of directors. Those members are Kyle Schofield, senior client services manager for Mainstay Technologies, and Jennifer Cassin, VP and chief nursing officer for Catholic Medical Center.

Bastion, an enterprise-grade web3 orchestrator and custodial wallet, acquired Money Transmitter Licenses (“MTLs”) in NH and Arkansas—the first two MTLs acquired by Bastion. The licenses, granted by the NH Banking Department and Arkansas Securities Department, will enable Bastion to support fungible assets in each state.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover earned an “A” grade for safety by the Leapfrog Group, an independent, national nonprofit watchdog organization. The Leapfrog Group assigns letter grades, ranging from “A” to “F”, to general hospitals throughout the United States. The grades are based on over 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.

The NH Community Loan Fund in Concord provided a loan to help the Littleton Food Co-op refinance and streamline its debt. The Littleton Food Co-op supports local growers and food producers and last year, it purchased $3.5 million in products—30% of its total—from 184 local vendors. The Community Loan Fund has supported the co-op since helping to fund its expansion in 2016. Since then, the co-op has added more than 4,100 members for a total of nearly 10,000.  The co-op has also added 35 jobs since the expansion and on average has 100 full- and part-time employees.

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital, both located in Lebanon, NH; Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT; and Southwestern Vermont
