In the Spotlight: Nobis Group in Concord has named two new associates: Brett Kay, director of civil engineering services, and Jennifer Lambert, PG, senior hydrogeologist. Kay, who has been with the firm for 18 years, leads the civil engineering team. Lambert has 17 years of experience and currently manages on-call contaminated and hazardous materials services contracts for the NHDOT.

LNA Health Careers, with 12 locations statewide, has opened a site in Dover that serves as a training facility for those seeking advancement in their health career. LNA Health Careers offers courses for LNA programs, phlebotomy, MNA programs, IV therapy, CPR, and more.

The American Independence Museum in Exeter received grants of $1,000 and $5,000 from the Rogers Family Foundation and Eventide Foundation, respectively, to develop a digital traveling trunk program for older adults. The program uses colonial and Revolutionary War history to explore current social and political themes. Originally developed for use in schools, the traveling exhibit has been adapted for senior centers, assisted living facilities, and recreation centers.

The Edison Electric Institute presented Eversource with an Emergency Response Award for its power restoration efforts following Tropical Storm Isaias last summer. The award recognizes recovery and assistance efforts of electric companies following service disruptions caused by extreme weather or other natural events.

Step Up Parents of Portsmouth received a $5,000 grant from The Fuller Foundation, which will be used to support the individualized needs of kinship families raising the children of parents with substance use disorder. More than 12,000 grandparents and other relatives raising children in NH, Step Up Parents offers financial assistance to relative caregivers.

NHTrust in Concord promoted Jocelyn Theodore to senior client services specialist for NHTrust. She joined the firm in 2017 as a wealth management assistant and recently earned her financial paraplanner qualified professional status.

Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in Manchester launched the University’s first MicroBachelors programs in collaboration with edX. Offered at $498 per course, the new SNHUx MicroBachelors programs – Business Analytics Foundations and Data Management with Python and SQL – provide value as standalone credentials, but pending admission, also allows learners to apply transfer credit toward a SNHU associate or bachelor’s degree program.

NBT Bank in Manchester contributed $5,000 to NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire, renewing the Bank’s support of HOMEteam, a collaborative program that provides homeownership and financial wellness education and counseling services to NH residents.

Colliers International in Manchester completed the lease of all 21,300 square feet at 2 Keller Street in Manchester, the former home to Toys R Us. Team Nissan purchased the property in 2018 to support the dealership’s continued growth. The property is undergoing a full redevelopment and S. G. Torrice’s tenancy helps complete the process by adaptively reusing the remaining portion of traditional retail box space with its conversion to a wholesale distribution warehouse. Doug Martin of Collier represented the Landlord, Team Nissan. Chris Pascucci of SVN The Masiello Group, represented the tenant, S. G. Torrice, in the transaction.
