In the Spotlight: Red River, a technology company in Claremont says the Army Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions office in coordination with the Army Contracting Command – Rock Island awarded the company a contract worth $13 billion.

The Capital Region Food Program distributed more than two tons of nonperishable food items to 15 social service agencies, food pantries and churches as part of the program’s Year-Round Distribution Project on September 8. Organizations receiving food as part of this month’s distribution included: Blueberry Express Day Care, Boscawen Congregational Church Food Pantry, Centerpoint Food Pantry, Christ the King Food Pantry, First Congregational Church Food Pantry,  Friends of Forgotten Children, Gospel Light Food Pantry, Loudon Food Pantry, Merrimack Valley Day Care, Open Door Community Kitchen, Pittsfield Food Pantry, Salvation Army, Suncook Community Action Program (CAP), Warner Community Action Program (CAP), and West Congregational Church Food Pantry.

Elise Cushing was promoted to assistant vice president, business development officer at Meredith Village Savings Bank at the Plymouth office where there's been an increased need to support a quickly expanding business customer base.

The Portsmouth Oil Spill Response Workgroup sponsored an oil spill exercise on Sept. 16 to give participants an opportunity to practice boom deployment skills and assess the ability to coordinate a spill response from remote locations.

Savings Bank of Walpole in Keene is offering financial learning in partnership with Banzai, an online financial education program. The Banzai online courses are gamified programs that walk users through real-life scenarios such as balancing a budget, paying bills, and dealing with unplanned expenses. Users can assess their understanding by taking tests both before and after the course.

The NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs updated its COVID-19 resources to include a Frequently Asked Questions page with answers to dozens of the most popular questions raised over the past few months regarding COVID-19 response guidance and restrictions. BEA has received more than 10,000 inquiries and/or comments since the start of the pandemic in March.

Stephen Murray joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as vice president, treasury sales officer. He will provide commercial banking to customers in Southern NH.

Concord Hospital Therapeutic Arts and Holistic Services was awarded a $7,500 Arts in Health Grant from the NH State Council on the Arts to provide additional therapeutic music support for patients in or at risk of delirium. Music has a direct and immediate benefit to people who are contending with a difficult hospital stay.

St. Mary’s Bank in Manchester hired Joyce Kelley to its commercial banking department as senior business services officer. She brings more than 27 years of retail banking and business development experience. Most recently, she worked as a store manager for TD Bank in Nashua.

Vermont-based Union Bank recently invested $100,000 in the Bethlehem Workforce Housing Project, a NH Community Development Finance Authority tax credit project. The tax credits will support a 28-unit low-income housing development, sponsored by the non-profit, Affordable Housing Education and Development. The Bethlehem project is about 60% complete and anticipated to be finalized by January 2021.

Prior to joining SÓLAS, she worked as a creative marketing professional for Timberland, Eastern Mountain Sports, ECCO, and Bauer Hockey.
