In the Spotlight: Eversource in Manchester marked the graduation of its first class in the Northeastern Joint Apprenticeship and Training (NEAT) program. Meredith Village Savings Bank donated $5,000 to Save Our Gale School, a group dedicated to preserving the 1894 Gale School in Belmont. The funds will be used to install a concrete foundation where the three-story building will be relocated.

Fulcrum Associates, a construction management firm in Amherst, will manage the construction of BAE Systems’ Goffs Falls Road site in Manchester. The location consists of two four-story buildings that will host the company’s electronic warfare programs.

Health Haven Pharmacy in Nashua launched a program to provide low-cost medications to patients who are uninsured or may have lost insurance due to COVID-19. This program will also provide benefits for small business owners and freelancers who are either uninsured or who have high deductibles.

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation board approved an additional $900,000 to support recovery and rebuilding efforts addressing the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in New England. In NH grants were awarded to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene ($185,000); Greater Seacoast Community Health in Somersworth ($120,000); and The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester ($165,000).

The New Hampshire Liquor Commission expanded its curbside and in-store pickup program to include the West Lebanon NH Liquor & Wine Outlet, the 10th outlet statewide to offer the program. Brookstone Builders, Inc., construction managers and general contractors headquartered in Manchester, hired Scott Launier as a project manager. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Launier has more than 15 years of construction and management experience.

Renovation of the historic 11,000-square-foot Parker J. Noyes building in Lancaster is underway. The Northern Forest Center in Concord, which purchased the building in 2018 as part of its community investment work in Lancaster, hired Garland Mill in Lancaster as construction manager for the project. The renovated first floor will provide a new home for Taproot Farm & Environmental Education Center.

Concord Hospital opened a new wing to its Memorial Medical Office building that will house nine Concord Hospital and Concord Hospital Medical Group practices. The new layout supports team-based care, enhanced exam and procedure rooms, centralized registration on each floor and a new café.

Three North Country educators were awarded the 2020 Louise Tillotson Teaching Fellowships by the NH Charitable Foundation. This is the 13th year of the fellowship program, which aims to retain good teachers in public schools in the North Country and recognize excellence in teaching. This year’s awardees are Keri Wade of Gorham Middle High School, Erica Hicks of White Mountains Regional High School, and Patti Dugan-Henriksen of Groveton High School.
