New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB) in Concord promoted Tamara Richardson (pictured here) to senior VP, human resources diversity and inclusion officer for. In this role, she ensures the organization prioritizes the enhancement of cultural diversity and inclusion, while promoting and communicating workplace expectations to employees of NHMB and sister companies Merrimack County Savings Bank (the Merrimack), Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB), Savings Bank of Walpole and NHTrust. Richardson is based out of Savings Bank of Walpole’s North Meadow Plaza office in Walpole.

New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR) recognized several organizations for their environmental and socially responsible practices at the NH Sustainability Awards, The 2024 Sustainability Award Finalists Include: Albany International Corp., BerryDunn, Casella Waste Management, Co-op Food Stores, Easterseals NH, Goodwill Northern New England, Lonza, MegaFood, Mascoma Bank, Merchant’s Fleet, NEMO Equipment, NH Community Loan Fund, O2 Strategies, Placework, Southern NH University, Timberland, Unitil, W. S. Badger, and Worthen Industries. The 2024 Measure What Matters award winners are: Placework (Community award); BerryDunn (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion award), Albany International Corp. (Environment award), Unitil (climate and energy award), Easterseals NH (Governance award), and Merchant’s Fleet (Workplace award). Timberland was awarded the Systemic Leadership Award

A Place to Grow, an early learning, nature-based childcare center with franchise locations in Brentwood, Durham and Salem, is expanding to North Carolina. A Place to Grow began offering franchise opportunities in 2021 and is the only nature-based childcare franchise in the United States.

Following an evaluation of U.S. nursing schools for 2024, Nursing Schools Almanac ranked Rivier University in Nashua as the #1 Nursing School in NH and #10 in New England. Rivier also ranks #47 nationwide among private nursing schools.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover donated $150,000 to aid the Dover Police Department’s community outreach bureau. The grant is part of the hospital’s continued support and advancement of Dover Youth to Youth (Y2Y), the department’s after-school drug prevention program for Dover students in grades 6-12, as well as the department’s outreach social worker.

The American Independence Museum (AIM) in Exeter received a $10,000 grant from Americana Corner as part of its Preserving America Grant Program. The award will fund preservation work at Folsom Tavern.

Homes and More by Hand, a deck builder based in Manchester, was honored in the Inlay on a Deck category at the National Deck Competition, an awards program sponsored by The North American Deck and Railing Association. Homes and More by Hand was selected for a 120-square-foot composite deck designed for a home in Hooksett. The competition was open to deck projects across the United States and Canada.
