This Week’s Spotlight: North Branch Construction in Concord began construction of an addition to Shooter’s Outpost in Hooksett. The over-14,000-square-foot, three-level addition will double the size of the existing building, and will provide a new display area, increased retail space, a café with commercial kitchen, employee offices, new bathrooms and inventory storage. Cowan and Goudreau Architects in Concord are providing design for the project.

Brookstone Builders in Manchester will perform an interior renovation project for Bristol-Myers Squibb. The project will include plumbing upgrades within multiple facilities at the Bristol-Myers Squibb campus in Devens, Massachusetts.

On August 23, the Cheshire County Conservation District in Walpole will host an Erosion Control Field Day training to promote a better understanding of the latest tools available for conserving soil and water resources. The training will be held at Stonewall Farm in Keene.

DeStefano Architects in Portsmouth hired Alexander Monteforte as an intern architect. Monteforte is a recent graduate of Keene State College and previously interned at a large firm in Boston, where he was a member of the design team responsible for the renovation and redesign of Logan Airport.

Downs Rachlin Martin (DRM), a law firm with five offices in Lebanon and Vermont, exetended the deadline for its patent competition for startups and early stage companies to Sept. 15. The winner of the competition will receive up to $10,000 in legal services to prepare and file a utility patent application. DRM will also pay for the associated US Patent Office filing fees. Hyndsight Vision Systems, a vision technology company in Peterborough, appointed Josh Verrill to its board of directors. Verrill is senior director of acquisition marketing at Oracle in Manchester and was previously VP of Marketing at Dyn in Manchester, which was acquired by Oracle last year. He has over 12 years of experience in corporate marketing and new product development.

Connor Archibald, a recent graduate of Winnisquam Regional High School in Tilton, received the Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) Culinary Arts Center Scholarship for 2017.  Archibald also completed the MVSB Culinary Arts Program at the Huot Regional Technical Center in Laconia.

Monadnock Paper Mills in Bennington hired Lee Corson as director of supply chain logistics. Corson previously worked for Schweitzer-Mauduit International, where he led U.S. purchasing operations.

MSA Safety Incorporated in Pennsylvania completed its acquisition of Globe Holding Company in Pittsfield in an all-cash transaction valued at $215 million. Globe is a manufacturer of firefighter protective clothing and boots, with approximately 420 employees across four U.S. locations. MSA first announced the acquisition in late June.

St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua hired podiatrists David R. Kosofsky and Howard S. Wagenberg. The will work at the merged offices of Nashua Podiatry and St. Joseph Hospital Podiatry at 166 Kinsley St., Suite 201 in Nashua.
