This Week’s Spotlight: Eckman Construction in Bedford completed the Herbert Downs Fire-EMS Station, to be used by the Milton Fire Department. The new 9,000-sq. ft. facility, located at 865 White Mountain Highway in Milton, includes four apparatus bays, training areas, turnout gear space, offices, two dorms and a new dispatch center. Cowan-Goudreau Architects in Concord provided design services for the project. Eckman has previously managed municipal construction projects across the state, including the two fire stations in Hampton, Pelham Fire Station, Brookline Safety Complex and the new Plaistow Public Safety Complex, which is in progress.

Amphenol Printed Circuits in Nashua partnered with Eversource Energy in Manchester to complete energy efficiency upgrades to its facility’s heating and cooling system. The upgrades were partly funded by a $128,000 incentive paid by Eversource’s Energy Rewards Program.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty hired five new realtors to its Londonderry and Windham offices. Diane Kopp and Susan Perkins will work in Windham, while Lisa Brochu, Pam Holt and Sarah Poire will work in Londonderry.

Hudkins Law PLLC, a real estate law firm with offices in New London, Windham, Massachusetts and Vermont, opened a new office in Concord.  Attorney Jacqueline M. Hudkins founded Hudkins Law in 2006 and now employs ten attorneys and ten paralegals.

Master Roofers in Manchester, a residential and commercial roofing company, marks its 75th anniversary this year. The company is a four-generation, family-owned business.

Jenifer Williams was promoted to mortgage loan originator at Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord. She previously worked in the Moultonborough office for Meredith Village Savings Bank as AVP, branch and business development manager.

The NH Partnership for Schoolyard Action Grants, run by the NH Audubon in Concord, donated over $6,000 to help fund environmental curriculum projects at Beech Hill School in Hopkinton, Jaffrey Grade School, Loudon Elementary School, Namaste Montessori School in Goffstown, Prospect Mountain High School in Alton, Seacoast Charter School in Dover, Westmoreland High School and Winchester High School.

Sara Lauze was promoted to AVP, digital banking officer for New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp. She will oversee digital banking customer support and related systems and services at Meredith Village Savings Bank and Merrimack County Savings Bank.

Katie Lopes, marketing coordinator at North Branch Construction in Concord, was appointed to the board of directors for the NH & Vermont Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors Young Professionals Group, also in Concord.

Amanda Bacon, director of sales & marketing at Palmer Gas & Oil in Atkinson, was listed on LP Gas Magazine’s 15 Young Industry Leaders list. She was the only person from New England selected by the magazine.

Red Oak Apartment Homes, LLC, headquartered in Manchester, no longer requires renters to pay a security deposit. New residents now pay a one-time, non-refundable fee of $99 at Red Oak’s Milford apartments, or $199 at any of its other NH apartments.

The Rotary Clubs of Bristol, Plymouth, Lincoln-Woodstock and Littleton, as well as the Rotary District #7850 Foundation, donated more than $6,000 to support a solar array project at The Mayhew Program in Bristol, a residential summer program for disadvantaged boys.
