This Week’s Spotlight: Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU) in Rochester granted $8,750 in scholarships to 11 graduates from five local high schools. HRCU offered two types of scholarships, the first being open to HRCU members and based on academic accomplishments, community engagement and financial need. The second group of scholarships were granted to graduates of Spaulding High School in Rochester who received an “A” from HRCU’s learning certificate program. The curriculum includes academic courses as well as work experience as tellers within HRCU’s on-campus branch at Spaulding.

B2W Software in Portsmouth, a provider of management software for the heavy civil construction industry, released its B2W Inform application. The program analyzes data from company documents to produce detailed reports. B2W Inform received a Bronze Stevie Award for New Product of the Year at the American Business Awards in the software-big data solutions category.

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester hired James Rothstein to its surgical care group. Rothstein has 17 years of experience in endovascular surgery, most recently working at Coastal Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery in Portsmouth.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Center Harbor hired William Rathbun as a realtor. Rathbun has over 30 years of experience, and is a member of the New Hampshire Association of Realtors in Concord and the Lakes Region Board of Realtors in Laconia.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire in Manchester received $6,500 from NobleHour, a community engagement platform, and $5,000 from the Diocese of Manchester’s Bishop’s Charitable Assistance fund. The donations will support volunteer recruitment efforts in the coming year. CASA NH is a statewide nonprofit that recruits, trains and supports volunteers to advocate in court on behalf of abused and neglected children.

Eaton & Berube Insurance Agency, LLC in Nashua hired Jess Hatfield as an assistant account manager. Hatfield previously worked as the personal lines manager at an independent insurance agency in Southern NH.

The Agnes M. Lindsay Trust in Manchester, which supports healthcare and education related nonprofits, granted $5,000 to Families First Health & Support Center in Portsmouth. The grant will help fund Family First’s mobile dental services at Cross Roads House in Portsmouth, the Salvation Army in Rochester and the St. Vincent dePaul Society in Exeter. About 400 people used these services last year.

Franklin Savings Bank (FSB) hired Randy Miller as regional manager of its Gilford and Laconia offices and promoted Rachel Marland to assistant branch manager of its Laconia office. Miller previously worked as an assistant branch manager at Citizens Bank, while Marland most recently worked as a senior personal banker at FSB.

Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester raised $500 for the YMCA of Strafford County through a monthly social media campaign. For its June campaign, Frisbie donated $5 for each person that uploaded a summer safety tip on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #ItsAbout.

Hybrid Fitness opened its new location at 114 Corporate Ave. in Portsmouth on Pease International Tradeport. The new space includes upgraded equipment, an expanded work out area and shower facilities, as well as physical therapy, massage and yoga studios.

Lakes Region Cupcakes in Tilton re-opened this month under new ownership. Melody Hanks, owner of Mel’s Creative Cakes in Laconia, acquired Lakes Region Cupcakes this past May.

Bridget Overson, director of marketing and brand identity at the Lawson Group in Concord, was appointed as executive board member of the American Red Cross New Hampshire and Vermont Region, also headquartered in Concord. The Lawson Group provides occupational health services.

McLane Middleton relocated its Portsmouth office to 100 Arboretum Dr. in Newington, located on Pease International Tradeport. All of the phone numbers for McLane Middleton attorneys and staff will remain the same at the new location.

Kristine DiFiore, VP of HR for the Home Health Foundation in Massachusetts, was appointed to the board of the Human Resources State Council for New Hampshire in Nashua. DiFiore will work as a program director and liaison to each of the organization’s NH chapters.
