 This Week's Spotlight: St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua hired John J. Gennetti as executive director of philanthropy. Gennetti has more than 20 years of experience with philanthropy in NH, most recently working as both assistant VP for major gifts and director of individual gifts at Saint Anselm College in Manchester.

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene hired Toller Wilson as a family physician. He previously completed his residency in primary care internal medicine at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine.

Draft Gratitude in Winchester received a $1,000 grant from a Twitter contest hosted by So Delicious Dairy Free in Oregon. Contestants had to write a grant equivalent in length to a twitter feed, or 140 characters. The nonprofit houses and rehabilitates unwanted draft horses at its 23-acre farm.

Elm Grove Companies, a real estate investment firm in Manchester, hired Matthew Menning as director of operations. Menning previously worked as an engineer at BAE Systems in Nashua.

FirstLight Fiber in New York installed fiber-based internet connectivity and voice services at Derry Medical Center’s five locations in Derry, Londonderry and Windham. FirstLight Fiber operates in New York and Northern New England.

The Guyton Group Charitable Foundation in Portsmouth donated $5,000 to the Cross Roads House, a transitional shelter in Portsmouth for homeless individuals and families in the greater Seacoast area.

Manchester School District received $10,000 from Manchester Rotary Club to fund drug prevention education. The grant will be used to integrate drug use prevention activities into core content curriculum for students in grades 6 through 12.

Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) pledged $5,000 to the Wentworth Economic Development Corporation (WEDCO) in Wolfeboro through the Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) of NH’s tax credit program. WEDCO offers services and resources to businesses in the eastern Lakes Region.

Seven NH teachers received awards from the NH Community College System in Concord for their work with NH’s Running Start program, which enables high school students to take courses at their schools for dual high school and college credit. Recipients included Susan Clark, a guidance counselor at Woodsville High School; Tom Kelly, a teacher at Mascenic High School in New Ipswich; Christopher Dodge, director of Salem High School’s CTE Center; Lisa Yates, a teacher at Nashua High School South; Denise McGlone, a teacher at Plymouth Regional High School; Sean Peschel, director of the Richard W. Creteau Regional Technology Center in Rochester; and Elizabeth Monaco, a teacher at Kearsarge Regional High School in North Sutton.

Peabody & Smith Realty hired Deb Engelhardt as a sales associate in its Plymouth office. Engelhardt previously owned Ski Fanatics in Campton, a ski shop she sold in 2014 after 30 years in business.

The Provident Bank in Portsmouth promoted Valerie Hendgen to assistant VP and business development officer. Hendgen, who previously worked as assistant VP and relationship officer at the bank, will oversee business banking in the NH Seacoast.

Wentworth Senior Living in Portsmouth partnered with Calypso Communications, also in Portsmouth, for communications services. Calypso redesigned the organization's website, improving its interface and adding a WSL Magazine to be updated with articles on senior issues.
