This Week's Spotlight: Howe, Riley & Howe, an accounting firm with offices in Portsmouth and Manchester, promoted Alison Perrella and Lance Turgeon to managing partners of the firm. They succeed Peter J. Kiriakoutsos, who became managing partner in 2006 and will now work as a principal in the firm. Perrella was a sole practitioner for over 20 years before being hired by the firm in 2012 as a principal. She was promoted to partner in 2015. Turgeon has been a CPA for 20 years and became a partner at the firm in 2008.

The Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, with NH headquarters in Bedford, donated $10,000 to Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock(CHaD) in Lebanon. The donation will fund renovations of the hospital’s inpatient unit.

Globe Manufacturing Company LLC in Pittsfield partnered with DuPoint Protection Technologies and the National Volunteer Fire Council in Maryland for the 2015 Globe Gear Giveaway. The organizations donated 52 sets of Globe firefighter gear to 13 volunteer fire departments in 12 states and Canada.

The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce hired Ashley Young as director of membership. A Nashua native, Young most recently worked as an event & project coordinator at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock(CHaD) in Lebanon.

The directors at Manchester law firm McLane Middleton re-elected Dick Samuels as managing director for another three-year term. Samuels, who practices corporate law, was first elected to the position in 2013.

New England’s Tap House Grille in Hooksett is expanding into the adjoining unit. Plans for the space include a dedicated function space, another bar with 48 taps, a lounge area, a stage and an aging keg cooler with viewing windows.

Attendees of the 2016 NH Farm and Forest Expo at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester donated 686 pounds of food to the NH Food Bank, also in Manchester. The expo is an annual farming trade show that includes workshops and speaker programs.

ReVision Energy in Exeter installed a solar array at the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Cardigan Lodge in Alexandria. The unit is expected to generate 87,000-kilowatt hours of solar electricity each year. It’s expected lifespan is 40 years.

St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua hired Jason Simon as an orthopedic surgeon. Simon previously worked as head team physician for the Worcester Sharks in Massachusetts, a former American League affiliate for the San Jose Sharks in California, a professional hockey team.
