The Balsams Resort
in Dixville received a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit to redevelop the closed resort. The permit attests that the redevelopment would have minimal damage to nearby waters and wetlands. Developer Les Otten plans to expand the Balsams’ ski area, renovate the buildings and the golf course, and build a new hotel and conference center

Stonyfield Organic in Londonderry donated 1,000 tickets for patients and employees of Boston Children’s Hospital, along with their families, to see a private showing of Disney on Ice presents Treasure Trove in Boston.

Milestone Engineering & Construction Inc. in Concord finished renovations at the Lakes Region Child Care facility in Belmont. The building formerly served as an insurance service center. Warrenstreet Architects in Concord was the architect for the project.

Concord Hospital Medical Group in Concord hired Lisa Patterson to its Concord Surgical Associates practice, also in Concord. Patterson specializes in trauma and acute care surgery.

Piscataqua Savings Bank in Portsmouth hired Susan Jonis as a loan officer. Jonis has over 20 years of loan experience.

Lori and Adam Alderin purchased the Beal House Inn, an inn and restaurant on Main Street in Littleton. Adam Alderin is a chef who has worked in restaurants in Washington, D.C., NewYork City and most recently as director of operations at Lui Lui Restaurant Group in West Lebanon and Nashua. Lori Alderin previously served as director of alumni giving at The Derryfield School in Manchester. Peabody & Smith Realty in Franconia represented the sellers and assisted the buyers.

The NH Food Bank in Manchester received an anonymous matching donation of up to $100,000. The donor will match monetary donations up to this amount until the end of the year, a donation that would allow the Food bank to serve 400,000 additional meals.

Residents of Meadows Mobile Home Park in Concord purchased their 109-unit park from James and Kathy Grappone, making it the 115th resident-owned manufactured-home community. Residents purchased the park for $4.25 million with a mortgage from the NH Community Loan Fund, also in Concord.

Jewett Construction in Raymond completed a new AutoServ Kia showroom in Belmont for AutoServ Dealer Group in Tilton.

St. Mary’s Bank in Manchester chose Sarah Chasseur to attend Crash the GAC, a meeting held by The Cooperative Trust and the Credit Union National Association. Crash the GAC is focused on young professionals working in credit unions.

Meredith Village Savings Bank in Meredith financed the expansion of Four Paws Inn doggie daycare and boarding facility in Meredith. The expanded space has a larger indoor recreation area.
