The Community Development Finance Authority in Concord announced Kathy Bogle Shields will retire as executive director on January 31, 2014. Shields has been  executive director there since 2006.

The NH Travel Council  in Concord hired Margaret Joyce, former director of development and community outreach at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in Northwood, as tourism manager.

Hay Creek Hotels in Exeter hired Kelsey Raymond as human resources specialist at The Exeter Inn in Exeter.

Centrix Bank in Bedford hired Christopher Freiberger as vice president, information technology. Previous to joining Centrix, Freiberger was a senior IT architect at St. Mary's Bank in Manchester.

Tyler Deaton, a managing director at b-fresh consulting in Manchester, was selected as national committeeman for the NH Young Republicans in Manchester.

Newburyport Five Cents Saving's Bank's Charitable Foundation of Newburyport, Mass. (but with branch offices in NH) donated $10,000 to The Clipper Foundation in Portsmouth.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture donated $250,000 to the North Country Resources Conservation and Development Council in Gilford to expand use of wood energy in low-income residential housing.

Atlantic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Portsmouth hired J. Andrew McMahon as a new physician.

Bernstein Shur in Manchester named two of its shareholders as leaders of its data security team. Dan Mitchell, a member of the business law practice and the litigation group, was announced as chair of the team and Joshua Silver, member of the business law, intellectual property, and technology practice groups, has been appointed to vice chair.

Red River in Claremont announced a partnership between Red River Healthcare and ReadyDock of West Hartford, Conn. The partnership will work to maximize charging and disinfecting capabilities for iPads in health care settings.
