Experts Traverse NH Energy Market

On December 3, the Business and Industry Association will present the 2008 New Hampshire Energy Seminar from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester. The focus of the seminar is to discuss how businesses can lower electricity bills, conserve energy and capitalize on existing funding sources for energy efficiency projects. The cost to attend the seminar, which includes continental breakfast and lunch, is $60 for BIA and Capitol Connect members and $75 for non members.

The seminar is geared toward business executives, directors, managers, consultants and employees who deal with energy and regulatory issues within their companies. Individual sessions will highlight NH's volatile energy market, regional transmission issues, cost containment, conservation, and new and proposed funding sources for energy efficiency projects.

The program will include:

  • How to Lower Your Energy Bills Today: Resources and Programs to Help Mitigate the Rising Cost of Energy a panel with Bill Kibler, Usource; Gil Gelineau, PSNH; Carol Woods, NH Electric Cooperative; and moderated by Heidi Kroll, Gallagher, Callahan and Gartrell.
  • Funding Sources and Programs on the Horizon a panel with George Gantz, Unitil; Amy Ignatius, Office of Energy and Planning; Richard Ober, Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Board; and moderated by Susan Geiger, Orr and Reno.
