Citizens Bank and WMUR-TV named Rosemary Heard the Heart of Your City for her outstanding commitment to the city of Concord. Heard is president of CATCH Neighborhood Housing, a nonprofit that provides safe and affordable housing and homebuyer education services in Merrimack County, and also serves as chair of the advisory council for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston. Heart of Your City is a year-long partnership between Citizens Bank and WMUR-TV that recognizes individuals making a difference in the state's thirteen cities.

Laconia Savings Bank in Manchester donated $49,000 to the nonprofit The Way Home's Laurel Keys Veterans Housing program. The funds will be used to construct a new permanent supportive housing for homeless veterans in Manchester.

 Regulatory Compliance, LLC in Londonderry appointed J. Dennis McCarron as COO. McCarron most recently served as executive VP, COO of U.S. Wealth Management and president, CEO of US Wealth Advisors, LLC.

Raymond Wieczorek, executive counselor of NeighborWorks Greater Manchester, received the David P. Goodwin Outstanding Neighbor Award for 2012. Wieczorek was recognized for his commitment to the nonprofit, which creates affordable housing for low income individuals and families. Wieczorek began working with NeighborWorks in 1992 while he was serving as mayor of Manchester.

The People's United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People's United Bank, donated $7,500 to the Rural Industry Cluster programs of The Hannah Grimes Center in Keene.

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) in Bedford promoted senior project manager Peter A. Clary to director of transportation engineering. Clary has worked in the transportation engineering department of the company for seven years, and, prior to joining VHB, worked for the NH Department of Transportation.

Five NH nonprofits received $10,000 Community Commitment grants from Public Service of NH in Manchester: abi Innovation Hub in Manchester, More than Wheels in Manchester, SEE Science Center in Manchester, Tree Care Industry Association Foundation in Londonderry, and the YWCA of NH in Manchester. Grants were awarded to organizations whose missions matched PSNH's focus areas of environmental stewardship, economic development, and education/workforce development.

Sap House Meadery in Center Ossipee received six medals for its meads at the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition held in Rochester, N.Y. The competition featured more than 3,200 wines and meads from 22 countries.

Sarah Hourihane of DeStefano Architects in Portsmouth was chosen as an associate member of McGregor Memorial Emergency Medical Services in Durham. She will serve on the facilities committee and will assist with the center's planning and growth.

Mike LaChance, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Nashua, was named Business Person of the Year at the Ninth Annual Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce Eminence Awards luncheon. LaChance was recognized or his leadership in the planning and building of the new Nashua YMCA facility on Stadium Drive. LaChance has worked with the YMCA for more than 25 years.

Joyce Albro, benefits administrator of Sanel Auto Parts in Concord, was named Coordinator of the Year by United Way of Merrimack County for the her creation and management of Sanel's recent fundraising campaign which raised over $15,000 with the help of employees for the nonprofit. Since Albro took over Sanel's fundraising efforts in 2005, the company has raised almost $115,000 for United Way programming in central NH.
