Bottomline Technologies recently renovated the second floor of its headquarters to accommodate its growing marketing and creative design teams. The design goal for the 9,247-square-foot renovation was to create a space that was open, modern and casual to foster a collaborative environment. An abundance of glass was employed to bring natural light. A majority of the office space is lit from the steel bar joists above the workstations using adjustable linear LED strips. This hides the light source from view while
making it seem like the ceiling is bathed in natural light. The renovated space now includes 50 workstations, a variety of conference rooms and team rooms, and a presentation area with floor to ceiling cork walls.
