Secretary of State Recognizes Election Officials’ Participation in Voluntary Training

As local clerks across the state prepare for this year’s General Election, Secretary of State David M. Scanlan acknowledged those who attended the most training sessions provided by his office. While these training sessions were not mandatory, all clerks were encouraged to attend to refresh their knowledge on the procedures necessary to conduct fair and efficient elections.

The Secretary of State’s Office provided 18 training sessions throughout New Hampshire this year, attended by 241 Clerks and Deputy Clerks. During these sessions, clerks learned about ballot clerk procedures, election law changes, the processing of absentee ballot requests, ballot counting, reconciliation, results reporting, voter-check in, and the Statewide Voter Registration System ElectioNet.

Secretary Scanlan would like to recognize the following individuals for attending the most training sessions in 2022:

Our office appreciates the dedication of our local clerks, particularly those mentioned above, in ensuring New Hampshire elections are well-run and instill confidence in our voters," says Scanlon.
