The Metro Center-NH Housing Coalition, a regional economic development initiative of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, is offering an in-depth program focused on the current status, needs, and future outlook of the housing market in the greater Manchester region.

The event, scheduled to take place on December 10, 2008 from 7:30 to 9:00 am at the Derryfield Restaurant, will look at: (1) the current credit environment and its effect on housing developers and homebuyers;

(2) how to ensure that your workforce is properly housed;

(3) challenges associated with buying a home in a tight lending environment;

(4) how to set expectations as a first-time homebuyer or renter.

The panel includes: Robert Tourigny, Executive Director, Neighborworks Greater Manchester; Andre Garron, Director of Community Development, Town of Londonderry; Bill Caselden, Great Bridge Properties; and Sabrina Granville, VP of Human Resources, Elliot Hospital.

Attendees will also be treated to a special guest speaker who will share the trials and tribulations she and her husband faced when purchasing a home. The event will be moderated by George Reagan of the NH Housing Finance Authority.

The cost to attend is $20 for Chamber members and $25 for non-members and includes breakfast. Online registration is available at www.manchester-chamber.org or by emailing Emily De Puy at customerservice@manchester-chamber.org.
