Seven Companies Receive Job Training Grants

Seven companies received grants from the NH Job Training Fund to help train 129 workers in new skills. The grants total $96,736, with the companies contributing matching funds to bring the total amount to $193,473.

Charles Leonard Steel Services in Concord will receive up to $19,958 for in-house training of 15 employees in specialized areas of fabrication.

Concord Awning & Canvas in Bow received $7,250 for 12 employees to receive training in lean and business growth from the NH Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NHMEP) in Concord.

Stamping Technologies Inc. in Laconia, which manufactures metal stamped components for the electronics industry, received $4,500 for training three employees in the ISO 9001 Collaborative at NHMEP.

Liberty Utilities in Londonderry received $7,500 to instruct 40 employees in customer service through Nashua Community College.

Intec Automation in Rochester received $2,699 to train four employees in precision machining and Solidworks at Great Bay Community College.

Bald Peak Colony Club in Moultonborough, a private lakeside country club, received $3,100 for 25 employees to receive training in Cyber Security Program Development from Neoscope, Inc in Portsmouth.

Ipsumm Inc. in Portsmouth, a product development company focused on creative design, received $51,729 to train 30 employees in a variety of skills at NHMEP, the University of New Hampshire in Durham, Great Bay Community College, Rockwell Automation in Massachusetts, Horizons Solutions in Manchester and the Human Capital Institute.

The Job Training Fund has distributed $8,654,405 in grants since October 2007, with employers contributing $11,411,236 for a total of $20,065,641 in new training for 25,152 NH workers.
