Portsmouth Makes List of Hippest Cities

As NH seeks to convince more 20-somethings to start their adult lives in the Granite State, it has a new marketing angle. Portland, Oregon, used to be the epitome of the hip place for young people to move, but thrillist.com reports eight cities have matched that city's hipster motif. Notably, Portsmouth, NH, and Portland, Maine, made the list. Portsmouth was recognized for its beer festival, foodie scene and bounty of locally-owned stores.
