Pizza for the Planet

Published Wednesday May 2, 2012

Spreading the message of environmental awareness with a great-tasting pizza makes sense to Brad Sterl.

The CEO of Rustic Crust and American Flatbread frozen pizza, Sterl says he hopes to enlist pizza-lovers across the nation to join his company in its support of The Nature Conservancy's All Hands on Earth campaign allhandsonearth.org.

As a company and as makers of great-tasting pizzas, we take our commitment to the health of the planet and the health of our consumers very seriously, says Sterl. Our pizzas are made with natural, organic ingredients, with no GMOs and no artificial preservatives. You might say our pizzas are planet-friendly,' so we're proud to support The Nature Conservancy.

Rustic Crust and American Flatbread are providing consumers a chance to support The Nature Conservancy with special discount coupons that include a rebate that will benefit the organization and its efforts to inspire Americans to make the world a better place through simple, everyday actions.

We believe this support is critical, as we work toward leaving our children a better planet, says Sterl.

On this past Earth Day, Rustic Crust participated in The Nature Conservancy's Picnic for the Planet event on Boston Common. Picnic participants received ready-to-bake personal-sized Rustic Crust pizzas, with sauce, as well as Rustic Crust and American Flatbread coupons.
