National Consulting Firm Hires Local Hospitality Expert

Published Wednesday Sep 3, 2008

Refine your brand, improve your operations, move to the next level of performance. This is what Tom Kelley, managing partner of Concept Group USA, says are the three initiatives that his company can provide operators with the tools to accomplish.

The company based in Washington, DC and New England was founded in 1991 to providing restaurant operators and suppliers with guidance. And the company boasts two Web sites and organizations has launched two new Web sites to provide resources for operators: restaurantperspectives.com and RestaurantTuneUp.com. Both sites provide advice to operators for dealing with economic challenges such as food inflation, rising energy costs and increased competition for a shrinking guest dollar.

Ben Williams, formerly of Horsefeathers, Codfish, Hurricane and State of Maine Grill and (full disclosure here) one of the founders of New Hampshire Hospitality News, has joined the Concept USA team.

"We are thrilled to have Ben join our team," Kelley says. "Ben is a true professional, with proven expertise in front- and back-of-the-house operations, along with a true entrepreneur's sense of how to build a successful business."

Williams will blog on Concept Group USA's restaurantperspectives.com and lead the implementation of the firm's packaged restaurant tune-up package throughout New England and across the country.

"I am very excited to work with such a skilled group of professionals," Williams said. "There's nothing better than helping others make their businesses succeed, all for the betterment of the hospitality industry. It's about giving back as well."
