Methuen Construction Wins Excellence Award

Methuen Construction in Plaistow received the National Excellence in Construction Pyramid Award and, in October 2021, the ABC NH/VT Excellence in Construction 2021 Chairman Award for their outstanding work on the Peirce Island Wastewater Treatment Facility upgrade in Portsmouth.

“The work done by Methuen Construction is outstanding and encapsulates how ABC members work for the betterment of their community. The successful completion of this state-of-the-art facility was done on time, within budget and demonstrates how the success of a construction project is largely attributed to collaboration between the Owner, Engineer, and General Contractor,” stated 2021 ABC NH/VT Chairman Matt Johnson.

The EIC awards honor every member of the construction team, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects are judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation and safety.

“The Excellence in Construction Awards are a hallmark competition in our industry, honoring creative projects that exemplify the best of the best in construction,” said 2022 National Chair of the ABC Board of Directors Stephanie Schmidt, president, Poole Anderson Construction, State College, Pennsylvania. “This was a world-class construction project completed by members of ABC NH/VT. These exemplary projects show the diversity of what the construction industry builds—and how crucial the industry is in creating the spaces Americans live, work and play in.”
