In the Spotlight: Polaris Direct, a direct marketing services and printing company in Hooksett, recently welcomed Mary Butterman as strategic marketing services account manager; Chrissy Cordiero as account coordinator; and Mary Gormley as account manager. Butterman previously worked for AARP’s Great Deals and Great Destinations and Honeymoons.com. Cordiero worked in customer service for 14 years in the Boston restaurant industry and in residential real estate. Gormley has nine years managing communications for craft and global beverage brands including Boston Beer Company and Carlsberg Brewery.

Concord Hospital Medical Group, a department of Concord Hospital, welcomed Lila Cohen, MD, to Concord Surgical Associates. Cohen specializes in trauma and acute care surgery.

Jewett Construction in Raymond promoted Becca Stinchfield to assistant project manager.  Prior to her promotion, Stinchfield, who started at Jewett Construction in 2018, was project coordinator.

Granite Pathways in Manchester created Job Launch, a recovery-focused employment service plan that includes resume development, skills training and job placement in recovery friendly workplaces. Job Launch also addresses issues such as homelessness, food insecurity, lack of childcare, and transportation.

Memorial Hospital in North Conway hired obstetrician/gynecologist Jenny LaBudde, MD to its Women’s Health and Family Birthing Center practices. LaBudde just completed a four-year residency at Maine Medical Center.

Meredith Village Savings Bank purchased $10,000 in tax credits through the NH Community Development Finance Authority in support of Lakes Center for the Arts, a subcommittee of the Greater Meredith Program, to preserve and repurpose the former Annalee Doll factory, a 35,000-square-foot post and beam facility, and create a hub for cultural activity.

Nearly $600,000 in federal funding through the Office on Violence Against Women is headed to NH to invest in programs that combat campus sexual assault and boost support services for survivors. St. Anselm College in Manchester will receive $294,970 and Rivier University in Nashua will receive $299,900.

The NH Secretary of State’s office expanded accessible voting opportunities for those with print disabilities who are legally entitled to vote by absentee ballot. The new system will allow those voters to use their own computer to mark their choices on an electronically delivered absentee ballot, which will then be returned to the voter’s city or town clerk and will be hand-counted on election day. The voter’s choices will not be transmitted over the internet.

The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration awarded an $825,000 CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the city of Nashua to create and manage a revolving loan fund that will provide gap financing to small businesses and entrepreneurs adversely affected by the pandemic.
