Liberty Utilities (EnergyNorth Natural Gas) Corp., located in Londonderry, received approval from the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission in November to purchase New Hampshire Gas Corp. based in Keene. The company completed the sale on January 2.
“We are very happy to welcome the customers and employees of New Hampshire Gas to the Liberty Utilities family,” said Dan Saad, president of Liberty Utilities - NH. “Customers will continue to see the same great service from the same New Hampshire Gas Team that they have experienced in the past.”
New Hampshire Gas is a propane-air distribution utility serving about 1,200 customers in the Keene area. This acquisition integrates with Liberty’s growth strategy. Liberty is evaluating various natural gas solutions to help stabilize energy costs and facilitate future growth.
