Intellectual Property Basics for Entrepreneurs Heads to Keene

The Hannah Grimes Center in Keene, NH, is hosting an "Intellectual Property Basics for Entrepreneurs" presentation on Thursday, October 30th from Noon to 1 pm. The presenter will be Kristina M. Grasso, Esq. of Milford, NH. The cost to attend is $10 for Hannah Grimes members/ and $15 for non-members.

Regardless of the product or enterprise, business people must systematically consider the steps required for protecting, managing, and enforcing products, thereby ensuring the best possible commercial results from ownership. Intellectual property protection is important and should be considered at during development, when planning a competitive strategy, when designing one's product, when delivering and even when marketing. fAnd it's a significant element of expanding one's sales abroad.

This presentation will cover the types of intellectual property protection relevant to the entrepreneur (patents, trademarks, copyrights and domain names) and the importance of including IP as part of an overall business plan.

Grasso specializes in patent, trademark, and copyright law as a registered patent attorney. She has more than 14 years experience in IP law and is an adjunct professor at Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH. Her client base is comprised of entrepreneurs and start-up companies.
