A new study revealed that “How I Built This” is America’s most popular business podcast, according to Google search data.
The study, conducted by document management company SmallPDF, analyzed Google U.S. and worldwide data for the 30 most popular business podcasts and ranked them according to the average monthly searches on Google in the U.S.
According to results, the five most popular online business podcasts in the U.S. are:
How I Built This: Started back in 2016, this podcast is about entrepreneurs, innovators and their stories. How I Built This analyzes the process that got these people to build their movements. With an average of 10,000 monthly Google searches in the U.S., this is the most popular business podcast in the U.S.
Bloomberg BusinessWeek: The second most popular business podcast in the U.S. has an average of 8,300 Google searches per month, and the most popular worldwide, registering 17,000 searches a month. It helps listeners be on top of the news from the world of business and finance.
Strictly Business: With an average of 6,200 monthly Google searches in the U.S. only, this interview-based podcast is America’s and the world’s third most searched-for business podcast, according to the findings.
Marketplace Podcast: This podcast focuses on the economy and the current events that influence the world of business. Registering an average of 2,400 Google monthly searches in the U.S., and 2,600 worldwide, Marketplace also ranks as the seventh most popular business podcast globally.
Masters of Scale: Hosted by Reid Hoffman, this podcast gives business advice from Silicon Valley. It registers an average of 1,700 monthly Google searches in the U.S. and ranks sixth in the world (with an average of 2,800 monthly Google searches).
Rounding out the top 10 of the most popular business podcasts in the U.S. are: Masters in Business, This Week in Start-ups, My First Million, HBR IdeaCast and The Goal Digger Podcast. While Business NH Magazine’s own BizCastNH podcast did not make the list, it’s something to shoot for.
