Home Health & Hospice Care Names New CEO

Home Health & Hospice Care (HHHC) in Merrimack named chief clinical officer Barbara Lafrance as the new of the organization. She will will begin as CEO on April 17 afer John Getts step down from the role after nine years to retire. Lafrance has worked for Home Health & Hospice Care for 25 years. 

“I feel honored and privileged to continue my journey at Home Health & Hospice Care, as the next CEO. We truly have a great team of managers, clinicians, support staff and dedicated volunteers that deliver outstanding care,” Lafrance says. “We are well positioned to meet the growing diverse needs of our community, offering enhanced home services and the expansion of our Community Hospice House.”

 As chief clinical officer, a role she has held for two years,Lafrance provides administrative and clinical leadership for all services, oversees deployment of resources and fosters a culture to recruit and retain talent. Prior to these responsibilities, she served as director of hospice and quality for Home Health & Hospice Care, where she increased access to care, oversaw hospice, palliative care, quality, and risk management.She also previously served as quality manager for the organization. She began her career in nursing and advanced to nursing leadership prior to joining Home Health & Hospice Care.

A new chapter will begin for our agency under the expert, capable leadership of Barbara as CEO,” says Getts. “Many of our staff have worked closely with her over the years, and know her unwavering commitment to our staff and customers. Barbara is a proven and valued leader in the homecare and hospice arena in New Hampshire, and we are very fortunate to have her assume the CEO position.”

Home Health & Hospice Care is a member of SolutionHealth and has been a provider of services since 1883, making it the region’s oldest provider of home care services.
