The NH Fisher Cats in Manchester, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, are renovating Northeast Delta Dental Stadium to expand its entertainment offerings. Construction is underway, and these new amenities will be available to the public by the team's opening weekend on April 6 through 9.
"There's never been a more exciting time for this organization," says Jim Flavin, GM of the Fisher Cats. "Our stadium will now offer much more than just a ballgame."
The ballpark's redesigned entrance will have a new pavilion and plaza, which will include a live music stage, tiki bar and game area. The stage is being equipped with full audio, video and lighting systems and will host musical performances, speaking engagements, live broadcasts and more.
The entrance will also include a rock waterfall on the main stairway, designed by Stonemakers in Merrimack, which will lead to a Samuel Adams Bar & Grill. The in-stadium restaurant will be able to fully open its west wall to connect to the new plaza.
Below the restaurant, four rows of tiered seats and drink rails will be added to the left-field seating area. The new section, which can now be reserved for group outings, will have 165 seats overlooking the playing field.
The Fisher Cats are working with Market Square Architects in Portsmouth and Fulcrum Associates in Amherst, a general contractor, to create the renovations.
"It's wonderful to see the Fisher Cats invest in their facility and make it an even more desirable destination for both out of town guests and Queen City residents," says Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas. "This team has always been a source of pride for our community, and that will continue with this new project."
