Twenty-five escape rooms from around New England have come together to create a free, online, at-home puzzle hunt to celebrate everyday heroes.
New England is home to over 50 different escape rooms where players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives, but all have had to suspend in-person business due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Everyday Superheroes: Always Saving Our Butts was developed to keep in touch with players and enthusiasts, while these escape rooms are shut down, and to pay tribute to the new everyday heroes.
The story describes a warehouse full of toilet paper that has been discovered. Players will have to follow the paper trail, solve puzzles from every participating escape room to assemble our superheroes, and break into the toilet paper warehouse!
Players start their adventure at http://neroomescapes.com. Each participating escape room has developed a unique puzzle to be solved. After unraveling all the challenges and gathering their codes, answers will be submitted online. Players completing the game will be entered to win a grand prize. The contest begins on April 27, 2020, and all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2020.
