Dartmouth-Hitchcock Named One of 150 Great Places to Work in Health Care

Published Wednesday May 6, 2015

Dartmouth-Hitchcock, New Hampshire’s largest private employer with more than 9,000 employees statewide, was named one of 150 “Great Places to Work in Healthcare”  (www.beckershospitalreview.com/lists/150-great-places-to-work-in-healthcare-2015.html) by the industry journal Becker’s Hospital Review.

Becker’s announced the designation, citing the hospital's benefits offerings, wellness programs, commitment to diversity and inclusion, professional development opportunities and environments that promote employee satisfaction and worklife balance.

“At the heart of our commitment to create a sustainable health system are the people of Dartmouth-Hitchcock,” said CEO and President Dr. James N. Weinstein. “We’re working to improve the lives of the people and communities we serve, for generations to come. Without a skilled, passionate workforce, we cannot deliver on that commitment. It’s gratifying that Becker’s has acknowledged our efforts to recruit and retain the best people to deliver and support the high-quality, high-value care that our patients and their families expect of us.”

Dartmouth-Hitchcock includes the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and an outpatient clinic in Lebanon, as well as 24 other clinics including Community Group Practices in Concord, Manchester, Nashua, and Keene, and Bennington, VT.  The system also includes affiliated hospitals in New London and Keene and Windsor, VT.

Becker’s 2015 list includes healthcare providers – medical groups, ambulatory surgery centers, home health providers and hospitals and health systems – as well as other types of health care-specific companies including consulting firms, technology providers, professional organizations and more. Dartmouth-Hitchcock was the only NH listed.
