Boston Billiards Celebrates $10 Million Milestone

Boston Billiard Club & Casino celebrated a major milestone surpassing $10,000,000 in donations to New Hampshire-based non-profits.

"We are thrilled to hit this mark just 4.5 years after first opening our charitable gaming operation in November of 2016. Each day in line with the Lottery Commission’s Charitable Gaming regulations, we donate 35% of our proceeds to a local 501c3 organization," the company wrote is a statment.

A “$10 Million Bash” to celebrate was held July 29 and included representatives from many local non-profit partners as well as several members of the Nashua Board of Alderman, Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess, and Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the NH Lottery.

Celebratory remarks were made by Beth Covino, president of the Rotary Club of Nashua, Mayor Jim Donchess, and Kurt Mathias, president of Boston Billiard Club & Casino. Additionally, Boston Billiards presented $2,500 to Lauren Osowski of the Adult Learning Center, the winner of the “Guess the Date” contest that was run earlier this year. Among hundreds of submissions, Osowski submitted a correct “guess” of June 24, the day the $10,000,000 mark was met. Matching the $2,500 gift, the Rotary Club of Nashua donated to two local charities of Osowski’s choice, with Upbeat New Hampshire and The Front Door each receiving an additional $1,250.

Mathias said at the event, “As we pass $10,000,000 in charitable gaming donations we are incredibly thankful to our loyal customers, our dedicated team and the 100+ non-profits we have partnered with over the last 4.5 years. It’s so humbling to hear stories from these organizations and see the amazing work they are doing in our community. The fact that charitable gaming at BBC&C is helping to make a positive impact throughout the state is so rewarding to all of us.”
