Designers: SOMMA Studios in Portsmouth and Chinburg Properties
Chinburg Properties is a development firm that has preserved and repurposed historic mill buildings throughout NH. So it was only fitting it would move its offices to a mill building in Newmarket. The project was part of a larger undertaking to renovate the remaining riverfront mill structures. Through the renovations, “found” items unique to the mill building’s past were reused. Old timbers were given new life and exposed on a new second floor and balcony while machining parts became frames for wall art.
