At a time when employees demand more flexibility at work, Elbit Systems of America has answered the call. All employees work 80 hours over nine days, giving them every other Friday off. Employees can choose to be fully remote, fully onsite or some mix of both. Exempt employees have unlimited paid time off and work with managers to take the time off they need.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg of perks Elbit provides. Employees can instantaneously send recognition and awards of $249 or less through Elbit’s peer-to-peer platform. Employees receive 1,000 bonus points within Elbit’s recognition platform for every year of service completed and can redeem those points for a gift.

The company pays up to $2,000 for referring a new employee. And winners of its Igniting Growth and Performance Excellence, Outstanding Employee, and Rookie of the Year awards can bring a guest to an awards banquet in Fort Worth, Texas, and receive a $2,500 travel voucher toward a vacation with their family.

Elbit also helps employees give back and expand their viewpoints. The company celebrates Good Deeds Day, allowing employees to spend a day volunteering at a nonprofit. And employees formed an IDEA Lab to create an environment of inclusivity, celebrate diversity and address issues facing underserved communities. This has resulted in several policy changes and the creation of new benefits targeted at bringing more diversity and inclusion to Elbit America. This year, the IDEA Lab team launched unconscious bias training for the entire workforce.
