HRCU in Rochester promoted Nicole Huntress to VP of operations and compliance. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the credit union’s retail operations and compliance. Huntress began her career at HRCU as teller in 2005 and rose through the ranks as branch manager, operations manager, director of compliance, and most recently assistant VP of operations and compliance.

Torrington Properties acquired the Mill Road Plaza in Durham from Colonial Durham Associates for $8.8 million. The 10-acre Mill Road Plaza is home to Hannaford, Allegiant Physical Therapy, Appledore Family Medicine and Pediatrics, Domino’s Pizza, Mei Wei, Rite Aid and The Works Café. Torrington will immediately begin working to attract new businesses to fill existing vacancies.

The NH Liquor Commission recently opened an 8,000-square-foot NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Derry. The new Derry Outlet was modeled after several recently built NH Liquor & Wine Outlet locations and features more than 2,600 wines and spirits.

Eight attorneys from Devine Millimet in Manchester have been recognized by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers for New England. Andrew D. Dunn, Anu R. Mullikin, David P. Eby, Donald “Lee” Smith, Jon B. Sparkman, Peter W. Mosseau, and Thomas Quarles, Jr. received the ranking for 2023. Each of the attorneys recognized has received this honor multiple times in the past, with attorneys Dunn, Mullikin, and Sparkman making the list 17 years in a row. Hanna May received special recognition as a Rising Star. This designation is reserved for attorneys who are either 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for less than 10 years.

The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce held ribbon-cutting ceremonies recently to welcome two businesses as new Chamber members: The Printing Press, a new local print shop at 44 Portland Ave., unit 9 in Dover, and Aplomb Gallerya portrait gallery and studio space located at 15 Mechanic St., Suite 117 in Dover.

Atwell Acupuncture and Holistic Health, under Carrie Webster, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, relocated to 8 Elm St. in Wolfeboro. This location was previously a model train railroad museum and since purchase has undergone a complete renovation.

Joseph Guyton, owner of Portsmouth-based firm The Guyton Group, has been named as a President’s Council qualifier by the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. President’s Council is one of the highest honors awarded each year by Guardian to financial professionals who demonstrate outstanding service and dedication to their clients. This is the 15th time Joseph has been recognized for this distinction.
