For the second straight year, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover awarded a $10,000 community benefit grant to the Alliance for Community Transportation (ACT), a group that provides community transportation, largely for seniors and adults with disabilities, in Southeastern NH.

Stonyfield Organic expanded its Londonderry plant. It is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 24 ase part of the year-long celebration of Stonyfield's 40th Anniversary. Stonyfield is expanding its organic yogurt pouch line. Over the past five years, the brand has seen double digit growth on pouches. This expansion will add 35% to the brand's total pouch network, adding 46 million pouches annually to the Londonderry facility and doubling its pouch output at the plant.

Portsmouth-based digital marketing agency Raka launched a new division, Raka Health, that will provide technology solutions and strategic digital marketing foundations for the healthcare and life science industries.

Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, a Manchester-based engineering firm, promoted Michelle Carrozzella from director of finance to CFO and Matthew Low, from director of engineering operations to COO.

Nancy West, the founder and executive editor of InDepthNH.org, will be the recipient of the Michael Donoghue Freedom of Information Award given by the New England First Amendment Coalition (NEFAC) on June 1 in Boston. The award is given each year to a journalist or team of journalists for a body of work that protects or advances the public’s right to know. West’s award is for continuing to persevere in journalism at a time when financial insecurity is threatening local newsrooms across the country. She is simultaneously serving as an investigative reporter and lead fundraiser for InDepthNH.org, which has grown to more than 2 million pageviews a year. West’s reporting last year included stories on the death of a mentally-ill inmate and the need for transparency within his prison, the lack of response by public officials to two tragedies involving homeless women, and this year to the secrecy surrounding a car crash involving a Portsmouth Police Department employee.

Andrea L. Leland has been honored as one of CHG Healthcare's Top Women in Healthcare Staffing. Leland serves as director of provider recruitment at Dartmouth Health in Lebanon. CHG Healthcare's annual award recognizes leaders and rising stars in physician and advanced practice recruiting, staffing, and retention.

Peter E. Randall Publisher in Portsmouth had two titles recognized nationally with Benjamin Franklin book awards from the Independent Book Publishers Association. The titles are The Diamondbacks Collection; 50 of the Greatest Cards in Sports Collecting History and Ciao Italia; Plant, Harvest, Cook!. The Diamondback Collection has also received a Bronze “IPPY" award from Independent Publisher.
