In the Spotlight: The law firm of McLane Middleton presented its annual awards at the firm’s Colleague Recognition Reception. Ramey Sylvester was the recipient of the 16th annual Jack B. Middleton Pro Bono Legal Services Award for her outstanding commitment to serving citizens in need. Kim Kramer and Pat Closson were the recipients of the firm’s annual John A. Graf Client Service Award, presented to the attorney, paralegal, or administrative colleague who exemplifies the highest level of client responsiveness and excellence in service. Ashley LaPointe was the recipient of the firm’s John R. McLane, Jr. Community Service Award, which recognizes one who exemplifies the highest commitment to the community.

Colliers International, a commercial real estate services firm in Manchester, facilitated the lease of 29,100 square feet of office and warehouse space at 55 Wentworth Ave, Londonderry to GiftCash, which was founded in 2017 and designed a platform to buy unused gift cards in a secure process. The company is relocating from Hooksett as part of its growth plans. Dan Scanlon and Vickie Zgonis, of Colliers’ Manchester office, represented the Landlord, Adamian Realty Trust, and Cassandra Farley and Matt Bacon, of SVN The Masiello Group, represented the Tenant.

The NH Liquor Commission opened a renovated, 5,200-square-foot NH Liquor & Wine Outlet in Gorham. Located in the Androscoggin Plaza, the outlet includes more than 1,700 premium wines and spirits, as well as a brand-new retail area, temperature and humidity-controlled wine vaults, an expanded spirits selection and oversized aisles for social distancing and comfortable shopping.

Bank of New Hampshire in Laconia promoted several team members: Cindy Salta was promoted to vice president Prestige Plus officer; Jen Goddard was promoted to assistant vice president BSA compliance officer; Martha Hughes to vice president digital sales and service manager; Eric Carter to senior vice president digital solutions and innovation officer; Lisa Dauphine to vice president project management officer; and Tiffany Baert to vice president marketing officer.

NHTI – Concord’s Community College awarded more than $36,500 in scholarships to 42 students from 23 scholarship funds for the Spring 2021 semester. Students in nursing, dental hygiene, criminal justice, general studies, liberal arts, accounting, business, robotics and automation engineering, civil engineering, radiologic technology, paramedic emergency medicine, and education were selected.

The Local Crowd Monadnock, Culinary Journeys, and Food Connects partnered to launch Monadnock Restaurant Project, a homegrown stimulus that has dispersed more than 600 gift cards from 25 local restaurants to employers for their staff and asked them to spend the cards quickly, providing an immediate shot in the arm to Keene's local restaurants. Organizers have raised 82% of their overall goal of $30,000.

Montagne Powers in Manchester hired two new team members, Taylor Livingston and Jessica Knight as assistant account executives. Prior to joining Montagne Powers, Livingston was a public relations specialist at Acronis. Knight previously worked as a multimedia journalist for KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Throughout the month of February, NH Roller Derby  held a series of live online clinics directed toward education for non-skating officials, which were attended by roller derby officials all over the world. The clinics were free but donations were accepted and a portion ($200) was raised for NAACP in Manchester in honor of Black History Month.
