In the Spotlight: The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) recently delivered nearly 1,000 new, unwrapped toys to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program on Dec. 15. Throughout Nov. and Dec. the NHLC collected toys at its 80 New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets and at the NHLC Enforcement headquarters. Over the past six years, NHLC has collected more than 6,000 toys in support of the Toys for Tots program.

Susan Labrie was recently named the director of Portsmouth400 by the Portsmouth Historical Society. She will work full-time for the Society as the liaison to the steering committee that will oversee fundraising and public outreach, and coordinate events and programs leading up to and during the anniversary celebration.

Citizens Bank recently announced that Citizens Commercial Banking is providing $23 million in credit to help fund the merger of Wolfeboro-based GI Plastek and Myrtle Beach-based Precision Southeast, Inc. to create PSI Molded Plastics, Inc. (PSI). The funding facilitates the merger of two Gladstone Investment Corporation portfolio companies to establish a custom injection molder with facilities in New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Indiana that offers a broad and comprehensive range of plastic injection molding capabilities.

The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ NHHEAF Network Cares employee charitable giving program recently announced that four New Hampshire nonprofit agencies are recipients of grants to be used to further support their work. The four agencies receiving grants are: Dover Teen Center (Dover), Granite State Dog Recovery (Manchester), New Hampshire Foundation for Teaching and Learning Children’s Fund (Concord), and Peppermint Ponies 4-H Club (Fremont).

Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) and Ed Caron, the Merrimack’s EVP, senior commercial lending officer were recently honored at Capital Regional Development Council’s (CRDC) Annual Banker Celebration. The Merrimack was recognized as Bank of the Year, and Caron was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Omni Mount Washington Resort recently announced that work has commenced on the resort’s B-Chair Double Chair Lift and the Latitude 44 restaurant. Omni will be replacing the existing life with a new, state of the art eight passenger gondola, which will run year-round, as well as a 10,000-square-foot mountain side restaurant.

Governor Chris Sununu recently announced the formation of the Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion as part of a larger initiative to strengthen the State’s commitment to enforcing civil rights laws. Attorney Paul Phillips of Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC was appointed by Gov. Sununu to serve on the council. Phillips currently serves as Chair of the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission.

Live Nation Entertainment recently announced that it has acquired an interest in the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion (formerly Meadowbrook) in Gilford, NH. Since opening in 1996, Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion has welcomed a myriad of artists, including Luke Bryan, John Mellencamp, Chris Stapleton, Bryan Adams, Third Eye Blind, and Florida Georgia.
