This Week’s Spotlight: Settlers Green in North Conway is keeping pace with the construction of Settlers Green Streetside, a $15 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion project that broke ground in November 2016. The addition of Settlers Green Streetside will increase Settlers Green to 300,000 square feet of commercial retail development. Nine new retail businesses will move into the space, including Columbia Sportswear, Skechers Outlet, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store and Francesca's. There will also be a new 120-seat upscale restaurant, Barley & Salt Tap House and Kitchen, featuring an extensive draught beer list along with an interesting “street food” menu. A grand opening is planned for this October.

Catholic Charities NH in Manchester promoted Steven J. Knight to the new position of assistant VP of program & mission integrity. Knight, previously director of program & quality initiatives, was hired by Catholic Charities in 2011 after a 20-year career in banking and financial consulting.

Easterseals NH, Military & Veterans Services received $10,000 from the Lincoln Financial Foundation to help provide case management and emergency assistance for veterans, service members and their families. The grant will be used exclusively to serve Concord-area veterans.

Eaton & Berube Insurance Agency in Nashua partnered with Selective Insurance Group in New Jersey and will begin offering its insurance plans. Selective Insurance Group is a holding company for 10 property and casualty insurance companies that offer standard and specialty insurance for commercial and personal risks and flood insurance.

Leadership Seacoast in Portsmouth, a program which aims to develop informed and active community leaders, graduated its 39-member Class of 2017, with a reception held at Atlantic Grill in Rye. The class donated $1,250 back to the program, which will be used to fund future scholarships for potential applicants.

Members First Credit Union in Manchester granted $7,500 in scholarships to six students from Lyman and Manchester.

Kimberlee Esposito of Wilmot received the 2017 Kathy Anderson Scholarship from the NH Electric Co-op in Plymouth, which established the $2,500 annual fund to help female NHEC members who are pursuing a degree. Esposito is earning an associate degree in General Studies/Business Management from NHTI in Concord.

The NH Institute of Art (NHIA) in Manchester appointed Yoav Horesh as chair of photography. Horesh succeeds Gary Samson, the current NH Artist Laureate, who is retiring this month after teaching at NHIA for over 30 years.

Simken Properties in Londonderry purchased a 1,536-square-foot office condo at Londonderry Commons from Laura L. Burke 2000 RT for $140,000. Jerry Hersch of Tinkham Realty in Londonderry represented the seller and assisted the buyer.

St. Mary’s Bank hired Tracy Jordan as a residential loan originator at its Mortgage Center in Concord. She has mortgage lending experience in northern Massachusetts and southern NH.
