This Week’s Spotlight: The NH Food Bank in Manchester received $10,000 from Concord Orthopaedics, headquartered in Concord with satellite offices in Derry, New London and Windham. The donation will provide 20,000 meals to the one in nine men, women and children in NH who are food insecure. Last year, the NH Food Bank collected and distributed nearly 13 million pounds of food to people in need through more than 400 nonprofits.

ArgenTech Solutions in Newmarket is one of 30 overall finalists, and one of 10 small business finalists, selected from 3,064 nominations for the Department of Defense’s Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the department’s highest employer award. Fifteen awards are given annually to employers who provide outstanding support to their Guard and Reserve employees.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty’s Windham office donated $2,000 to B&H Oil Company in Salem to help provide heat to disadvantaged local families and individuals.

Brookstone Builders in Manchester were hired for an interior utility consolidation and space improvement project at Northway Plaza Shopping Center in North Conway. The project is being done to facilitate the interior fit-up of a new 10,000-square-foot Petco store.

CBS Medical Billing & Consulting is now leasing the 4,081-square-foot corner office at 95 Brewery Lane in Portsmouth. Catie Medeiros of The Kane Company represented the tenant and Andy Fleisher of NAI Norwood Group represented the landlord.

Maine-based FIORE Artisan Olive Oils & Vinegars opened its first NH location at 25 North Main St. in Wolfeboro, as part of a collaboration with Orazio's Gourmet. The location’s tasting room will include extra virgin olive oils, aged balsamic vinegars, sea salts and other specialty products.

Hinckley Allen in Concord hired Sabrina E. Dunlap as an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Business practice. Dunlap was most recently senior corporate counsel at athenahealth, a provider of cloud-based health care services headquartered in Massachusetts.

Jewett Construction in Raymond hired Alain LeBlanc as a project manager. LeBlanc has more than 15 years of construction experience managing projects in the life science, aviation, corporate office and retail industries.

Monadnock Buy Local received $5,000 from the NH Charitable Foundation's Elting E. Morison Fund to support outreach efforts for The Local Crowd (TLC) Monadnock Project in Keene, Swanzey, Chesterfield, Hinsdale and Winchester. TLC is a crowdfunding platform for residents of the Monadnock Region.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire. The nonprofit oversees affordable rental housing in Manchester, Nashua and 31 other communities in Southern NH and provides homeownership and financial literacy education to 81 additional communities.

NH iPhone Repair opened its third location in Portsmouth, joining two shops in Bedford and Plymouth. Chad Johansen founded the company in his parent’s home five years ago, as a freshman at Plymouth State University.

Northeast Credit Union hired Matt MacIntosh as a recruiter in the firm’s main office in Portsmouth. He has over 10 years of experience in recruiting, onboarding and other HR functions.

People’s United Community Foundation donated $6,000 to the Front Door Agency in Nashua, which assists individuals and families in transitioning to self-sufficiency. The foundation has granted $24,500 to the organization since 2012.

The Portsmouth Historical Society appointed Robin Lurie-Meyerkopf as rental manager. She will oversee scheduling event with individuals, groups and businesses at Discover Portsmouth and the John Paul Jones House Museum.

ProEx Physical Therapy in Portsmouth hired Ashley Owen as marketing coordinator. She previously worked for the marketing department at York Hospital in Maine.
