This Week’s Spotlight: Construction of a Center for Youth and Teen Leadership is underway at the YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown. The facility will provide a broad spectrum of services and programs aimed at aiding more than 2,000 area youth, while also offering multi-generational programs in which teens collaborate with older adults in a range of activities. Harvey Construction Company in Bedford is building the center, which is expected to be completed in June and fully operational for the 2017-2018 school year.

This month marks the one year anniversary of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) Innovation Lab at the Children’s Museum of NH in Dover. The Lab features a 3D printer, FLoid® Cell Imaging System, iPads and more and has served over 1,000 students from across the state.

DeStefano Architects in Portsmouth hired Britni Rotunda as a project manager.  She most recently worked as a job captain for Studio PBA Architecture in Colorado.

A partnership between four Seacoast organizations–including Seacoast Regional Energy Hub, Seacoast Area Renewable Energy Initiative in Portsmouth, ReVision Energy in Brentwood and Yankee Thermal Imaging in Rochester–launched Energize 360: Seacoast NH. The program, running through June 30^th, will assist residents of Dover, Durham, Lee, Northwood and Portsmouth with transitioning to clean energy use and provide tiered discounts.

The Energy Future Coalition in Concord submitted a settlement proposal to the NH Public Utility Commission regarding the state’s future around renewable energy. The proposal aims to achieve lower energy costs for consumers along with continued economic growth and job creation for the state.

Froling Energy in Peterborough, an installation contractor of commercial biomass boiler systems, completed a $1 million upgrade of its facility, including a 3.2 million BTU biomass boiler and a high-tech belt dryer. $300,000 of the upgrade was funded through a grant from the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission in Concord.

Holy Rosary Credit Union completed renovations of the lobby in their Dover branch on Central Ave. This is the first phase of the branch renovation project, which began in Dec. 2016. The second phase of construction will focus on upgraded technology and include installation of an Interactive Teller Machine.

The Local Crowd Monadnock in Keene, a crowdfunding platform, launched online this past Wed. March 15^th with two 30-day campaigns. One will benefit a “Farm to Table on Wheels” program at Archway Farm in Keene, while another will support a barn raising Stonewall Farm, also in Keene.

Dawn Gagnon, litigation technology project manager at McLane Middleton in Manchester, received the firm’s annual John A. Graf Client Service Award. Gagnon supports the litigation department by managing complex litigation eDiscovery projects, working collaboratively with clients to identify, preserve and collect electronically stored data.

Merrimack County Savings Bank in Concord sponsored the 2017 SouperFest, a fundraiser for Concord Coalition to End Homelessness held last Saturday March 18^th at Rundlett Middle School in Concord. As part of their sponsorship, the bank donated $5,000 toward the event.

People’s United Bank’s Community Foundation in Manchester donated $5,000 to St. Joseph Community Services’ Meals on Wheels program in Merrimack. The foundation has donated more than $32,000 to support the nonprofit.

Rath, Young and Pignatelli, a law firm in Concord with offices in Nashua and Boston, hired Jennifer de Lyon Stralka as an associate in the firm’s Business, Environmental, Energy and Real Estate Practice Groups. She previously negotiated and drafted vendor contracts at Dartmouth College in Hanover.

SymQuest Group, an IT services and office technology provider, relocated its West Lebanon office to 66 Benning St., STE 7 in the town. The 4,400-sq. ft. location will support sales, service and network operations personnel, and will house a demonstration facility for office technology solutions including multi-function copiers and printers, production & wide format printers and cloud infrastructure solutions.
