 The Landmark Inn


This Week's Spotlight: Wason Associates Hospitality Real Estate Brokerage Group in Portsmouth negotiated the sale of The Landmark Inn at 480 Main St. in Laconia. The 100-room hotel will undergo renovations to its lobby, indoor pool and restaurant. The Landmark Inn was sold by Invest Hotel Properties, Inc. to the Ram Landmark Inn Trust, which includes members Mike and Ragi Patel, who will be taking over operations. The buyers also own and operate other hotels in the region, including the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites in Tilton.

Robert M. Mucha, CPA PC in Keene merged with Nathan Wechsler & Company PA, an accounting firm in Concord. The merged practices will retain the name Nathan Wechsler & Company PA. Nathan Wechsler Manager Julie Greenwood will be director of the Keene office.

The Crotched Mountain Foundation in Greenfield promoted four employees: Michael Redmond  was promoted to chief of strategy for hospital and therapies. He previously served as interim CEO, COO, CFO and vice president for advancement. Jon Eriquezzo was promoted to vice president of innovation. He previously served as executive director of Crotched Mountain Residential Services. Dennis Bradley was promoted to director of behavioral science.  He previously led the Ready, Set, Connect! autism treatment program and oversaw ATECH Services. Jon Dash was promoted to advisor to residential school and community living. Dash has held a variety of positions including direct support staff person and leader, service coordinator and behavior intervention curriculum trainer.

Northeast Credit Union Portsmouth donated $5,000 to Make-A-Wish NH  to support the organization’s work in granting wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

International Cars Ltd., which has employee-owned auto dealerships in southern NH and Massachusetts, named Bryan Laskin as general manager of Dover Honda in Dover. Laskin previously served as general sales manager for Honda North in Danvers, Mass.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America presented its Heart of the Region Award to NH Alliance board president Richard Lowney. Lowney was recognized for his dedication to the organization, having served as a board member for 33 years and as a past president of both the Greater Nashua and Souhegan Valley Boys and Girls Clubs. Lowney is a serial entrepreneur and is a founding partner of Clearview Software in Amherst, Class Real Estate in Amherst and miEDGE in New Boston.

Franklin Savings Bank in Franklin promoted Deborah J. Clapp to assistant vice president and senior credit analyst, and Dorothy J. Savery to corporate secretary and executive and HR assistant.

Sanel Auto Parts Co. in Concord donated $5,000 to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, which supports nationwide industry education and funding. The money was raised during a golf tournament.

Newburyport Five Cents Savings Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 to The Chase Home for Children in Portsmouth to support an independent living program for older teens.

Allen Rogers joined Carey & Giampa Realtors in Rye as an associate broker. Rogers has more than $270 million in sales during his 20 years of listing and selling NH seacoast real estate.

Employees with Savings Bank of Walpole in Keene were recognized for recent achievements. President and CEO Greg Tewksbury was elected to the American Bankers Association Communication Council. Mortgage Loan Officers Christine Greenwood was inducted as one of two district governors in NH for the Lion’s Club. Mortgage Loan Officer Michelle Hayward was included in the Keene Sentinel’s annual Extraordinary Women magazine.

The NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence in Concord received a $15,000 grant from Verizon Wireless. The funds will be used to launch Respect Week, a teen dating violence awareness initiative focused on engaging students in activities and via social media campaigns on healthy relationships.

Meredith Village Savings Bank in Meredith donated $350,000 to the Belknap Economic Development Council for the Colonial Theatre Redevelopment project in Laconia.

Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook launched a capital campaign to renovate the hospital and expand key services, which has now raised $510,000 of its $950,000 goal. The expansion will include more than doubling the size of the emergency room.

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene hired Rebecca Naughton to the Department of Family Medicine. Naughton previously worked as a nurse practitioner at Crestwood Nursing Home in Milford and Lowell General Hospital in Massachusetts.

Scott Rolfe, branch vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage/Center Harbor in Center Harbor announced the hire of Pam Toczko. Pam has worked as a real estate professional in the Lakes Region for over 24 years, and also has experience as an appraiser and a commercial loan manager.
