The Manchester Country Club, a private country club in Bedford recently was awarded the prestigious “Distinguished Gold Club of the World” award from BoardRoom magazine, a trade publications serving private clubs. Manchester Country is currently one of 40 clubs nationwide with this distinction.

Margaret Franckhauser is stepping down as CEO of Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice based in Laconia in December after 19 years heading the organization. Starting in January 2017 she will serve as Executive Director of the Next Fifty Initiative, a Colorado- based grant making foundation dedicated to seniors.  Christine Long, currently CEO at Central NH VNA, will become the interim CEO.

Eckman Construction in Bedford completed renovations and a large addition at Mascoma Valley Regional High School in Canaan. The addition to the school features a 500-seat auditorium and performing arts theater, band room, new media center and a new art room. Marinace Architects of New Hampton provided architectural services.

PC Connection acquired GlobalServe, a global IT procurement and service management company. This will expand Connection’s service to its multinational customers by delivering a single flexible and scalable global supply chain platform to fulfill their IT requirements.

Hannaford Supermarket donated $44,000 in food to The Granite YMCA and the Boys & Girls Club, both in Manchester, for food pantries operated by each organization. The donation, consisting of 21 pallets of food, was part of the Hannaford Helps charitable program and will allow the organizations to feed hundreds of kids.

Oreste “Rusty” Mosca, managing director of Nathan Wechsler in Concord, was named treasurer of the Leadership NH Board of Directors in Manchester.

The MEMIC Group, a workers' compensation specialist, hired Adam Levesque as safety management consultant to provide safety training services and advice to MEMIC’s growing customer base in NH.

The New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute in Concord elected Kristine Stoddard, director of NH public policy for Bi-State Primary Care Association in Bow, to its Board of Directors.

Members First Credit Union in Manchester donated $7,500 to the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) through sponsorship of the 10th annual Footrace for the Fallen. MPAL is a nonprofit that provides after school and summer athletic and recreational activities to Manchester-area youth.

Jason Racine was named VP of operations and development for NH Motor Speedway in Loudon. He previously served as plant manager at Pentair Residential Filtration in Dover.

The NH Food Bank, a program of Catholic Charities NH in Manchester, received $20,000 from Metro Walls and Exterior Designs, also in Manchester.

The Peter T. Paul Entrepreneurship Center (ECenter) at the University of NH has named its first five ECenter faculty fellows. The fellows program was created to engage faculty and students in all things idea, innovation, and entrepreneurship at UNH. The five fellows are: Matt Davis, College of Engineering and Physical Sciences; Dev Dutta, Paul College of Business and Economics; Kiernan Gordon, College of Health and Human Services; Meg Heckman, College of Liberal Arts; and Jen Purrenhage, College of Life Sciences and Agriculture are the first fellows.
