Sheree Kaplan Allen, Paul Holloway, & Nancy Phillips


This Week’s Spotlight: Paul Holloway, owner of Dreher-Holloway Inc., also known as Holloway Automotive in Greenland, sold the business to Sheree Kaplan Allen, owner of Jake Kaplan's Ltd, whose holdings include Jaguar and Land Rover dealership in Warwick, RI, Jaguar and Land Rover dealership in Norwood, Mass. and Milford Subaru in Milford, NH.  Holloway has owned and operated many dealerships in NH throughout his long career.  He has worked as an activist for the industry serving as past chair for the National Auto Dealers Association and director of the NH Auto Dealers Association.  He is known for his philanthropy throughout New England and has made it his mission to support and fund an enormous number of programs particularly focused on children, education, veterans and drug abuse. The deal was brokered by Nancy Phillips Associates, an automobile dealership broker in Exeter, which has orchestrated all of the Holloway Automotive Group dealership sales and acquisitions over the last 25 years.

The Farnum Center in Manchester and Franklin received the Excellence in Nonprofit Management Award of the NH Charitable Foundation in Concord, and will receive a $5,000 grant as part of the award. The Farnum Center, a program of Easter Seals NH, provides access to those seeking treatment for drug and alcohol dependence.  

Great Bay Community College (GBCC) in Portsmouth and Southern NH University (SNHU) in Manchester renewed an eight-year Dual Admission agreement. The academic articulation agreement allows students holding an associate degree from GBCC to complete their bachelor’s degree at SNHU without additional admission requirements.

The NH Fiscal Policy Institute in Concord elected Kristine Stoddard to its board of directors. Stoddard serves as director of NH public policy for Bi-State Primary Care Association in Bow.

Amanda Gourgue has joined Concord-based NH Travel Council as tourism manager. She will be responsible for executing the organization’s events, primarily the Governor’s Conference on Tourism. She is the principal of Meeting Revolution, a consulting firm specializing in sustainable events and nonprofit management, and the director of Seacoast Main Street.

St. Mary’s Bank has appointed Richard Haney to assistant VP, senior residential loan officer. Haney works primarily out of the St. Mary’s Bank Mortgage Centers in Nashua and Manchester.
