 This Week’s Spotlight: Savings Bank of Walpole broke ground on a new location at 817 Court St. in Keene. Bensonwood in Walpole will oversee the design and construction of the building, which will include both a drive-up and walk-up ATM. This will be the bank’s third location in Keene, with offices currently open at 84 Marlboro St. and 400 West St. along with two offices in Walpole. The bank’s assets total $365 million.

Nick Vailas, a health care entrepreneur and founder of the Bedford Ambulatory Surgical Center, received the Libertas Award from the Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy in Concord. The award is given to individuals who focus on issues related to the free market.

Better Homes & Gardens The Masiello Group, headquartered in Keene and with 33 offices in NH, Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont, hired Karen Kulberg as the managing sales director in its Hampton office. Kulberg has 15 years of experience as a realtor, previously working as the general manager of Carey & Giampa Real Estate, which has offices in Hampton, Portsmouth, Rye and Seabrook.

Eagle Warehousing & Distribution LLC, a regional logistics distribution, warehouse and transportation company headquartered in Manchester, signed an 111,000-square-foot lease at 1070 Holt Ave. in Manchester. Richard Danais, president of Danais Realty Group Inc. in Manchester, represented both Eagle and the lessor, 1070 Holt Ave LLC.

Jewett Construction Company Inc. in Raymond donated $15,000 to the annual NH East-West High School All-Star Football Game fundraiser that benefits CHaD (Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock), which cares for more than 60,000 patients annually. In the past four years, this fundraiser has raised more than $1 million.

Classes began at the Lebanon Academic Center, a new educational facility developed by River Valley Community College in Claremont through a combination of loans and grants. The center, which is the former location of Lebanon College, will focus on providing low-cost workforce development and business and industry training and will offer courses in business information technology and liberal arts and humanities.

Ledyard National Bank in Hanover hired Christine Heath as the local mortgage lender for the New London region. Heath has more than 10 years of experience in customer service, community banking and lending, most recently worked at Sugar River Bank in Newport as the mortgage origination officer for its New London, Warner, Sunapee and Grantham markets.

Chelsea Stoddard, owner of Queen City Cupcakes on Elm Street in Manchester, opened Pop of Color, a retail shop also on Elm Street, which sells small, locally made gifts.

ProEx in Portsmouth, a physical therapist-owned private practice specializing in orthopedics, spine and sports medicine, hired Jamey Dyer as a benefit authorization specialist. Dyer previously worked at an insurance agency. Headquartered in Portsmouth, ProEx has locations in Stratham, Somersworth, Epping, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

SHARE Outreach, Inc. in Milford, a nonprofit which provides food, clothing and emergency financial assistance to disadvantaged individuals, received $10,000 from Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation to support its Self-Reliant Program. The grant is part of the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation’s annual Targeted Grants program, which is focusing on family-related initiatives this year.

Trumbull-Nelson Construction Company in Hanover hired Liam Ehrenzweig as project superintendent. Ehrenzweig most recently worked at Engelberth Construction in Keene for five years, and previously owned and operated his own construction company for nearly 10 years.
